On October 2-3, the St.C Wolfpack traveled to Newark, OH for the 2021 Hopewell Cup. The squad played a very cohesive tournament walking away with a 2-1 record on the weekend. The team's only loss came at the hands of New Albany FC who went on to win the championship. New Albany only had 6 goals scored on them the entire weekend, and 4 of those were delivered by the Wolfpack. The team really stepped things up in terms of positioning and overall teamwork.
Additionally, this weekend, the Wolfpack hosted the "Kicks for Kindra" weekend. The fundraising efforts were successful, and the team able to surprise Kindra and her family with the team wearing Kicks for Kindra uniforms all weekend. It was a special moment for all of us.
The bright spots keep getting brighter, and the missteps keep getting smaller. These kids work and play hard together, and it shows on and off of the field. Amazing bonds are being made.
Congratulations to Aubree Steadman, Grace McFarland, Remick Maroney, Gideon Filburn, Josiah Filburn, Joey Palmer, Shekinah Palmer, Rowan Daugherty, McKenna Daniels, and Avery Roberts on a stellar weekend. The future looks brighter than ever for St. C soccer!
